Box-type high-temperature muffle furnace-hydrogen furnace cleaning steps
Master the cleaning and maintenance steps for Vulcan Muffle Furnace and hydrogen furnaces to ensure safety and efficiency.
General Preparation:
1. Check the gas pipeline valve for tightness before operating the muffle furnace. Ensure gas pressure meets specified standards.
Initial Setup:
2. Test the push rod, pull rod, and lifting mechanisms in an empty muffle furnace.
3. Adjust the compression spring to the specified range.
4. Manage the water seal level and combustion pipe valves accordingly.
Lighting and Operation:
5. Close the feed-end muffle furnace door. Open and then close the discharge-end door after checking kerosene spray.
6. Ignite the burner in the feeding chamber.
Exhaust and Carburizing:
7. Discharge exhaust gas through a non-water-sealed valve.
8. Prioritize carburizing the muffle furnace tank in intermittent production.
Parts Placement and Muffle Furnace Handling:
9. Keep parts at least 5mm apart and within bottom plate dimensions.
10. Operate feed and discharge doors swiftly while moving push-pull rods steadily.
Muffle Furnace Loading and Cooling:
11. Position parts directly below the thermocouple in the pre-cooling chamber.
12. Limit muffle furnace loading to 24 chassis, pulling before pushing when feeding.
13. Equalize temperatures across muffle furnace zones before initiating natural cooling during shutdown.
Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance:
14. Clean the muffle furnace tank weekly during continuous operation. Clean immediately after shutdown for intermittent use.
15. Use a compressed air nozzle at the feed end for cleaning, taking care to prevent overheating.
16. Regularly clean the gas burner with kerosene to maintain efficiency.
Emergency Procedures and Precautions:
17. Act promptly in case of exhaust pipe blockages or sudden pressure increases. Open the non-water-sealed waste gas valve first, then the water-sealed valve.
18. Monitor each area’s combustion status and gas pressure closely.
19.Avoid standing directly in front of the muffle furnace door when opening to prevent burns.
20. If a burner flame goes out, immediately shut off the gas valve, then the air valve.
21. Stop feeding and retrieve parts if they fall or if the wedge door switch fails.
